Josh's Saturdays off are few and far between, so when one comes up, we are obliged to make a day of it! Yesterday we went to the zoo. The girls have already been to the zoo this year with their Nanny, Joy, but we wanted to see all the stories that Emma has been talking about ever since! Her favorite was the monkeys, but her first ride on the carousel was a close second. I have decided that the zoo is so much more fun (I HATE going to the zoo.....it smells.) when you have kids to share the sights with!

Great-Grandparents!

The girls and I traveled to southern IL this weekend to visit my grandparents! We had a great trip for all 22 hours that we were in the car! The girls were amazing travelers, and we had a great time! Eva got to meet her first set of "great" grandparents!

5th Anniversary

Today is our 5th anniversary. I cannot hardly believe it. I would have never guessed 5 years ago today that I would have 2 kids, be graduated with a doctorate, and living in a new home. God is good! I wonder what the next 5 years will bring?

My sister graduated from high school this past weekend. We had a great time in Milwaukee with family, friends, and special times! I am so proud of my sis for enduring the unendurable at Racine Lutheran High School, and can't wait to see what God has in store for her. She is off to the University of Wisconsin at Parkside to study business this fall. Congrats, Caite!

3 Months!

Eva is now 3 months old (well, technically she is 12 weeks old, but won't be 3 months until June 3), and the time is simply soaring by..... We are back into the full swing of life and accustomed to our new "family of four," and I honestly don't think I have ever been this busy in.my.entire.life. Every day brings new challenges, more things to fit into our already-hectic schedule, and more chaos, but more importantly, every day brings more fun, more smiles, and more joy into our book of life as we parent our daughters. Josh and I have had some hefty trials the last few weeks with money, decisions about our jobs, decisions about life and situations with family & friends, but we truly see the handiwork of God in our lives each day through our Emma and Eva.

Emma is talking more than ever, counting, singing, potty-training, and being a champion Big Sister. Eva is cooing, smiling, giggling, and trying to roll over.

It doesn't get much better than this!
